Study on European Union (EU) and Member State Competencies linked to the Dialogue Areas included in the South Africa / European Union Strategic Partnership
The overall objective of the programme of which this contract was a part of was to strengthen relations between the European Union and South Africa.
The specific purpose was to develop a user-guide and matrix for stakeholders interested in engaging in dialogues that fall under the South Africa / European Union Strategic Partnership and to present the draft document at a workshop in South Africa to ensure relevance and utility.
The expected results of the overall Dialogue Facility programme included:
- Improved sectoral policy dialogue and cooperation between the EU and South Africa in the areas under the Strategic Partnership Action Plan;
- Increased institutional capacity to help implement the areas of cooperation of the Strategic Partnership Action Plan and the Trade, Development and Cooperation Agreement (TDCA);
- Increased awareness and understanding of the Strategic Partnership amongst the target group and indirect beneficiaries.
