The 13th edition of Portugal Exportador took place at the Lisbon Congress Center last November 14th.
Promoted and organized by the AIP Foundation and AICEP Portugal Global, the event is intended for small and medium-sized companies that are starting their path towards internationalization and aim to find and diversify new markets to export.
For over a decade, CESO's partnership with the AIP Foundation and Portugal Exportador has been consolidated, and we are committed to continue to contribute to its future development. As in previous editions, CESO was one of the sponsors of the event and participated in the various programmed activities, namely through collaboration in Workshops, promoted Themed Cafes and provided Consulting Services.
How to choose the Market was the theme of the presentation that António Santos made in the scope of the WORKSHOP on the Steps for Export.
Among the THEMED CAFES that took place in this 13th edition of Portugal Exportador, CESO promoted 4:
- DIAGNOSIS FOR INTERNATIONALIZATION - António Santos
For national companies that are interested in exporting their products, the Themed Cafe aimed to help entrepreneurs to be better informed and prepared before starting this process. At the occasion diferent aspects related to the the markets awareness were considered, namely the appropriate timing and the model of internationalization which is more convinient to initiate and consolidate the export process.
- OPPORTUNITIES OF PUBLIC CONTRACTING IN THE CONSTRUCTION SECTOR IN ANGOLA - Rita Araújo
The National Development Plan 2018-2022 is the main instrument to revive the Angolan economy in the coming years, including a series of public investment projects aimed at strengthening economic and social infrastructures, including several opportunities in the construction sector, in the recent past, was one of the driving forces of the economy. The change of paradigm of development in Angola transports opportunities and challenges for the sector that matters to know.
- PUBLIC INVESTMENT PROGRAM ON THE FOOD AND AGRICULTURAL SECTOR IN ANGOLA - António Santos
For the coming years, the National Development Plan 2018-2022 is the main instrument to relaunch the Angolan economy. Among the objectives clearly assumed by the Angolan Government are the dynamization of the national production and a strategic substitution of imports. The paradigm of economic relationship based on exports should be, therefore, followed by a model based on investment and technology transfer, in which national economic operators should position themselves.
- MULTILATERAL - João Rabaça
The International Financial Institutions, traditionally oriented to the implementation of programs and projects to support the development of emerging economies, have diversified their intervention pattern and are now increasingly supporting private investment that generates employment. The national export sector has a modest participation both in the implementation of development programs and projects and in the dynamization of investments supported by International Financial Institutions. It is important to know the opportunities and be aware of the challenges that this market has.
- CONSULTING
CESO had a specialized team that held consulting sessions to provide information on the opportunities and challenges in Angola (José Colaço), Mozambique (João Rabaça) and, finally, the Multilateral (Rita Araújo).
