Returning to the presencial format, the 16th edition of Portugal Exportador took place, on November 11th, at the Lisbon Congress Centre. Promoted by the AIP Fundation, the event was sponsored by CESO which, as in previous editions, had a stand on the premises, having participated in several Themed Cafés that were held there throughout the day.
This year, Portugal Exportador took place in an economic context marked by the effects of the pandemic and by the efforts of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to identify and implement business opportunities that will allow them to recover and relaunch their activities. Mainly aimed at SMEs that want to start or consolidate their internationalization process, Portugal Exportador has thus provided, once again, to its visitors, a unique networking opportunity, allowing them to meet potential national or international customers, companies, startups, Embassies, in order to carry on new business.
Regarding CESO's participation, within the Themed Café that took place in the space dedicated to the Steps to Export, António Santos (CESO's CFO) promoted the diagnosis panel, highlighting the importance of, before proceeding with the internationalization process of a business, it is necessary to carry out a self-diagnosis that assesses the necessary conditions for this operation to have a greater probability of success.
Helena Valente (CESO COO) promoted the Themed Café on Industrial Development in Angola. Based on a detailed analysis of the context of the Angolan economy and the characterization of the country's manufacturing industry, the strategic guidelines for the industrial development of Angola were presented, in the short, medium and long term. This session reiterated the importance that Portuguese companies can have as privileged partners in the country's industrial development and the opportunities for direct investment in the industrial sector, in the industrial infrastructure, as well as in the export of capital goods that support the development of this sector.
