Within the scope of the “EU-Angola Dialogue Facility”, it is open, until May 24th, the acceptance of Proposals for actions that fall within the scope of the priority themes agreed by Angola and the European Union, namely:
- Maritime Security, namely actions that contribute to the definition of a maritime strategy, training in the civil dimension and information sharing.
- Blue Economy, in order to promote the diversification of the economy and sustainable development aiming, in particular, the use of alternative energies and sustainable fishing.
The launch of the Call for Proposals (CAP) took place at an Event in Luanda, last March 13th, which was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Economy and Foreign Affairs of Angola, as well as the European Union delegation in the country. To learn more about the event, visit our website here.
The CAP is intended for Services, Departments and Institutes at the central level of the Ministries and / or a body supervised by the Government of Angola and by other bodies of Local and / or peripheral administration of the Angolan State, involved in one of the defined priority areas. EU Institutions or Agencies that are involved in these areas and that participate actively and committed to the EU-Angola political dialogues may also apply.
The main proponents will be able to submit applications in partnership with other organizations, namely representatives of public and private development support agencies, civil society organizations, think tanks, higher education scientific or technological institutes, business and union organizations, among others.
To learn more about this subject, see the Criteria of the 1st Call for Proposals (CAP), the EU Angola Dialogue Facility website and, on that website, the specific framework on how you can participate.
The CESO / GIZ Consortium is responsible for Technical Assistance for the Implementation of the EU-Angola Dialogue Facility, which, among others, provides training to the dialogue partners, manages the funds of the implemented actions and promotes the communication and visibility of the program.
The Technical Assistance is expected to promote the launch of three Calls for Proposals by 2023.
