A new website with a new image is now available to all those interested in the cooperation between the Portuguese-speaking African Countries - East Timor (PALOP-TL) and the European Union (EU).
In addition to the relevant information about the history of the partnership, projects and news, this site also contains a knowledge hub that invites for reflection on key issues to the future of the cooperation. To this purpose, all the scientific and technical knowledge previously held by the PALOP-TL and EU partnership will be accessible, as well as what is currently being produced.
The PALOP-TL EU relationship represents a great opportunity for economic and social development for these countries and also to strengthen and promote fundamental values such as democracy and human rights. In more than a quarter of a century, the Cooperation supported 5 programs, 20 projects in various sectors, such as education and vocational training, health, justice, public finance, governance and public administration, statistics and culture.
In November 2015, the Technical Assistance to the Coordination of the PALOP-TL Cooperation Program with the EU was awarded to the Consortium led by CESO. The overall objective of this Technical Assistance is to promote ties between the PALOP, Timor Leste and the EU, strengthen cooperation and promote knowledge transfer. The contract established between CESO, the Delegation of the European Union in Mozambique and National Authorizing Office foresees the duration of the Technical Assistance until May 2019.
