Celebrating 60 years of professional life, Professor Américo Ramos dos Santos, President of the Board of Directors of CESO, hosted a Celebration Meeting in which he brought together his family and a hundred of his closest friends and collaborators.
 
The occasion also served to launch the book “In construction”, which brings together a Collection of works on Development and Human Capital, as well as the "Separata" that accompanies it, which includes the Author's collaborations in the press at the beginning of the 90s, mainly in the newspaper “Expresso”, but also in the Diário de Lisboa.
 
The opening of the session was made, on behalf of all the grandchildren, by Nuno Gonçalo Ferreira Ramos dos Santos. Next, granddaughter Ana Rita Ferreira Ramos dos Santos presented the Meeting, with her son Rui Miguel Santos then speaking a few words about his father's personal and professional career.
 
The projection of a video made by his son Pedro Henrique Ramos dos Santos, showing important moments from his personal and professional life, preceded the interventions of Professor Ramos dos Santos' “travel companions”: Professor António Romão and Drs. Almeida e Serra, Ivo Pinho and Vitor da Costa Martins.
 
The closing of the session was made by grandson Francisco Araújo Ramos dos Santos, which was followed by a Lunch / Buffet where all guests were present.
 
As his son Rui Miguel Santos points out in the Preface of the Book “In construction”,

“The Author did not limit himself to theorizing. He always put it into practice, to build, contribute, transform.”
