This week, in Praia, Cape Verde, two new Professional Higher Education Courses in the cultural sector were presented. These courses are promoted by the University of Cape Verde in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries, with the support of the PROCULTURA program.
The Cultural Production course, and the Management of Artistic and Cultural Projects and Institutions course, aim to train professionals with skills to develop and manage cultural and artistic production projects, to promote the growth and sustainability of this strategic sector in the country and abroad.
Of an innovative nature, the courses will combine online and in-person classes held at the University's campuses in Praia and Mindelo, using a new videoconferencing system financed by PROCULTURA, installed at both campuses. In addition to supporting the curricular review of the courses, the Technical Assistance to the Coordination of Procultura Action contributed to the definition of equipment and educational materials, as well as to the training of teachers in “Pedagogical Skills for Distance Training” which took place in the first half of September.
During the press conference on September 25th, the structure of the courses was presented along with possible job opportunities related with this training. Interested individuals can register until October 20th here.
