Within the framework of the "Support to Sectoral Dialogues Brazil-European Union" project, the Seminar “Intellectual Property Cooperation in the Field of Science, Technology and Innovation” was held in Brasília last December.
The event focused on discussing the results of a study concerning the best practices on intellectual property in the context of the cooperation. The study was made to evaluate research projects approved in different calls and framed under this joint initiative in 2009, 2010 and 2012.
According to the author of the study, Cristina Assimakopulos, the aim was to identify the barriers for management of intellectual property in previous collaborations established between European and Brazilian partners and to bring suggestions for possible actions to overcome these barriers.
