Sao Tome and Principe is marked by a poor performance of the private sector in the country's economy and, on the other hand, by a historical state preponderance in this area.
Through the new project started last November, CESO will support the Planning Directorate of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and International Finance in the formulation of the Private Sector Development Strategy.
This intervention will consider the preparation of a detailed study on private sector that will provide to the government a strategic guidance tool for its promotion.
It will thus be identified the role this sector could take as the main agent for employment and wealth promotion, so that it can be validated and appropriate by the most direct beneficiaries.
The project is expected to last four months and is part of the Economic and Financial Management Project (PAGEF) funded by the African Development Bank.
