The Sectoral Dialogues Project will fund 58 actions under twenty-two themes, proposed by twenty-nine Brazilians institutions, which will now lead be responsible to lead the implementations.
This latest call showed a substantial increase in the number of proposals received, as well as themes to be covered. This, seems to reflect the growing interest in the cooperation between Brazilian and European Institutions.
Now on phase III, the EU-Brazil Sector Dialogues Support Facility Project puts into practice the sector dialogues agreed at the political level through the implementation of short-term technical actions, enhances cooperation and exchanges between relevant partners in the EU and Brazil, keeps the participants and beneficiaries of the dialogues informed on its progresses and status, as well as identifies and explores new opportunities for dialogue.
The new phase will be an opportunity to establish more robust sectoral dialogues to respond to the various global challenges, present and future, the deepening of trade and economic relations and closer links between the European and Brazilian citizens.
The counterparts will be involved in specific dialogue activities over a wide range of thematic areas: from Environmental issues to Public Sector Governance, Human Rights, Regional Integration, Science and Technology, Small and Medium Enterprises, Social Cohesion and Employment, Energy Policy, Intellectual Property, Climate Change and Rural Development, among others. For the first time will be set new dialogues in the follow areas; Nuclear Energy, Statistics, land Transportation.
By the end of July, the Brazilian institutions which will promote the 58 actions, will prepare the specific terms of reference to guide its implementation which will take place up to June 2016.
The Technical assistance to the implementation of the EU - Brazil Sectoral Dialogues Project is led by CESO in a consortium formed by FIIAPP, INA (former partners in the early phase of the project) and CEPS.
